Water Drive
International Academy of Saginaw, Michigan, USA
Grades: K-8
October 15, 2015The Water Bottle Drive was focused on collecting cases of bottled water for our fellow SABIS® Member school, The International Academy of Flint. Over the last month, the City of Flint has encountered an issue with the water, making it undrinkable. As a result, IAF was in need of bottled water to provide for their students.
Our Head Prefect, Malik Costin and our Deputy Head Prefect of Social Responsibility, Brion Patrick, spearheaded this initiative. As soon as they heard the situation IAF was in they quickly took action. They distributed flyers and organized the school-wide water drive. In the course of 4 days our school was able to collect over 3,000 bottles of water to distribute to the students at the International Academy of Flint.
