A bullying prevention campaign was held to teach students about the dangers of bullying, the types of bullying, the definition of a bystander, and the important role that a bystander can play in eradicating bullying.

G3 & G4, combined art with bullying prevention through the idea of the buddy bench. The buddy bench is specifically designed so that prefects befriend whoever is sitting there ensuring they are doing well and encouraging them to join in activities

G5 6 & 7 had an escape room with puzzles and riddles about bullying prevention and types of bullying. To escape the SLO room, they had to figure out the puzzle. Students were in teams and worked together to solve it.

Students had a great time, and before they left the room, they wrote some nice and kind messages on the SLO wall of kindness.

This activity aims to promote a positive and safe school environment by raising awareness about the harmful effects of bullying. Through this campaign, we hope to foster empathy, respect, and cooperation among students, encouraging them to stand against bullying and support each other.

   We organized sessions where teachers introduced students to the concept of discrimination,
   explaining its types and negative effects.

2. Interactive Workshops
    Students participated in group activities designed to foster teamwork and empathy, discussing
    real-life scenarios involving discrimination and how to respond.

3. Awareness Posters and Wall Display
   Students helped create posters and a wall display with messages promoting respect and equality,
   reinforcing the importance of these values.

4. Classroom Discussions
   Teachers facilitated open discussions, allowing students to share their thoughts and commit to
   supporting a discrimination-free environment.

These activities collectively aimed to build a respectful and inclusive school culture.

Creating a vibrant school culture requires a deliberate effort to establish an environment where everyone feels safe and accepted. Every year, our SLO prefects conduct campaigns to raise awareness about bullying prevention. In the first term of the academic year 2324, the SLO prefects brought everyone together to have conversations about bullying prevention, and they created a handprint mural outside the SLO office where students posted their handprints to show their commitment to creating a safe and bullying-free school.

 

To promote cleanliness and health, the Discipline department kicked off a competition for the cleanest class.

Despite the fact that the whole school is very clean and that classes are very well kept, it was difficutl to declare a winner as all the classes were quite clean.  Both grades 4A and 5A went the extra mile with cleanliness and were declared the winners.

 

Preventing bullying is one of the top priorities at the school. Every child should be protected and guaranteed a safe and joyful learning environment.

A bullying prevention campaign was held at the school to spread awareness and everyone's responsibility in ensuring a bully-free school. For this event, the discipline department prefects distributed cards explaining the impact of words on people and encouraged students to hold an anti-bullying stand during the morning break to educate even more kids about bullying. Speeches were held, and advice about what to do if a student witnessed another student bullying someone. Students were also informed about the consequences of bullying.

I love how well SABIS executed the event!

 As a parent, I’m glad this school teaches children not to harm each other.

 

 

 

The 21-day Challenge is an academic, health, physical, and skill-building program designed to help students and teachers achieve self-discipline by developing good habits.

The 21-day Challenge is a way to create good habits through 21 days of behavioral repetition. A participant chooses a challenge from the 32 available on the challenge list and registers with a discipline prefect of his/her section. The challenger’s goal is to perform the challenge daily until its completion 21 days later. A challenger’s pin is awarded to the participant so that other students can also encourage the participant. A Record Board displays the progress of the participants. All achievers are awarded the title of “Warrior.”

At the end of this challenge, ten challengers successfully became “Warriors.”

Fergus CAO (IT Manager): I am proud to be one of the warriors who accomplish the 21 days challenge. My challenge is to do 100 push-ups every day. This event helps me understand that I still have potential even though I am almost 40 years old, I hope this also could help the students to know more about themselves. Good luck to everyone!

Yana Jiayi WANG (Gr9B): I was so excited that I successfully completed the challenge. I really benefited a lot from my challenge – no video games. I used to be a little addicted to electronic devices, spending a lot of time every day watching short videos and playing games. At the beginning of the challenge, I felt it was easy to keep myself from video games, but after a few days, I needed to constantly control myself. It was really hard in the last few days of the challenge. I realized that the hardest thing about the challenge is to keep away from the game all the time. Fortunately, I feel happy to have taken part in this challenge and completed it. What I also gained from the challenge was I learned to push myself to be better. I can now manage my time and do something more meaningful instead of sticking to my mobile phone.

 

Our SLO prefects believe that positive reinforcement is a great way to maintain good behavior throughout the school year.

To that end, Discipline  prefects designed a poster filled with nice words and encouraged all students to use these words daily. That triggered students picking a friend to say nice words to them.

This event promoted a kind environment throughout the entire school, teaching students positive words to use in their lives.

Preventing bullying is a major undertaking of the Student Life Organization.

With that in mind, the SLO decided to spread awareness about bullying prevention, be it in person or online, and encourage those being bullied to speak up and promote a positive, friendly school culture.

The students walked around with their posters shouting, “Stop bullying!” Moreover, throughout the week, Discipline Prefects, along with the English Shadow Teachers, educated their classes about the effects bullying might have on someone and why we should always use kind words. Students had handprint pledges in their classrooms to promote a positive, friendly classroom culture and prevent all kinds of bullying in class.

Making the signs for the campaign was very amusing, I particularly enjoyed the protest. (G10)

 

In order to create awareness among the student body about the dangers of bullying and especially cyber bullying now that most of the students are learning online, the SLO Discipline Department put together a video that was braodcasted to all students and staff.

The purpose of the AISW SCHOOL’s Bullying Prevention Campaign was to create a culture of respect, empathy, and kindness among students. By organizing various activities focused on raising awareness about bullying and promoting positive behaviors, this campaign fostered a safe and supportive environment where every student feels valued and understood. The goal was not only to address and prevent bullying but also to instill a sense of unity and compassion, making kindness an integral part of the school's community and values.

The AISW School's Bullying Prevention Campaign, led by the SLO discipline department, transformed the campus into a place of unity and kindness. Through activities like handprint art, bullying prevention cards, posters against bullying, drawing puzzle pieces to show respect, and creating a Kindness Jar and Chain, students learned to support each other. Even the youngest, in kindergarten, joined in with a "Cloud of Kindness." Writing and sharing nice wishes on the Kindness Tree spread empathy. These activities made kindness a part of everyday school life, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.
