Al Moumayyazoun

Grade 9

In order to instill an interest in Arabic grammar, history, geography and civics in G9 Brevet students whilst improving their performance in exams, the SABIS Student Life Organization^® held “Al Moumayazoun” competition in March 2015.

G9 students were divided into 6 groups and the competition was partitioned into several rounds. During each round, a team was knocked out, up until two teams met in the final round on March 6, 2015. This competition helped the students strengthen their time management skills while enhancing their ability to work as an organized team. It also helped refresh the participants’ memories on essential concepts that are needed for their official exams.

Al Moumayazoun is an annual 3-day competition, exclusively made for the Brevet class, which quizzes the students on their Arabic as well as Arabic Social Studies knowledge.

Ski Trip

SABIS^® International School - Adma

Grades 4 - 7

On March 6, 7, and 8, grade 4-7 students enjoyed an entertaining ski weekend organized by the school at Peaks Resort in Faytroun and Mzar Faraya. The students shared rooms with their friends and skied in groups organized according to each student’s level: beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

Organizing a ski trip has many benefits such as

• The Ski Trip teaches students responsibility and independence in a fun athletic way.
• Being far from parents, students have to take care of themselves and their belongings.
• Skiing also helps them workout and stay in shape.
• Through series of activities in the hotel, students learn about teamwork and conflict resolution.
