October 21, 2017The Student Life academic department prefects hosted a typing challenge for students in grades 7 through 11. The students were asked to type an article as fast as possible with no errors to win the challenge. In addition, the lower school students were given a chance to improve their typing skills/speed through practicing different typing games provided by the school computer teachers in the computer lab.
Students: “We are so glad to be given an opportunity to compete with our friends with different levels and be one of the top typists in our school.”
Teachers: “It is really a great opportunity for the students to share their own skills and learn new ones.”
Parents: “My kid really enjoyed the activity and asked for more such skills competition to be held.”

November 08, 2017Students showed off their love for reading in the form of roleplaying in bringing their favourite book characters to life in imaginative ways. Students were able to express their individuality and were able to share their reading interests with their peers. Giving students free rein over their imagination, led to a wonderful concoction of ideas.
Tatiana Lekka , a student of grade 12, was ecstatic and exclaimed that "...even though not everyone was able to identify the character I chose to portrait, I was still glad I got to convey my love for literature!
Shadow Teacher Day

November 08, 2017Wednesday, Nov 8, 2017 was a designated Shadow Teacher Day at the International School of Choueifat - Al Ain .
It was organized to develop the dynamic learning and teaching skills aof students and ensure we develop high quality Shadow Teachers. It is not veryeasy to become a Shadow Teacher as a student has to muster enough courage to stand in front of the class and teach. It is that experience that will ultimately help them succeed no matter what.
That day, Shadow Teachers taught for 25 minutes. Teachers evaluated their Shadow Teachers and they were given feedback after the lesson.
