In December, a group of tenth-grade students went on a two-day trip to “Um Qais” on a mission in association with “Habitat for Humanity - Jordan”. There, they helped complete the rooms of a house for a village young man and his new wife. Over two days, students worked tirelessly to complete a rewarding job , by mixing the concrete with their hands, constructing walls, and putting down floor tiles.

The trip was not all about hard work though. At the end of the physically-demanding day, students played fun games, had a wonderful village dinner with their local hosts, and of course spent hours and hours of singing and having fun.

Senior Saturday

To reward senior prefects for their hard work and contributions to the SLO, Senior Saturday was organized complete with a barbecue, fun activities, an outdoors movie and of course an evening of sharing and bonding.

The prefects wouldn't accept having this day dedicated to them only and insisted on inviting all the seniors sharing with them that fun day.

Ask Me Anything

In order to learn in a fun way, the ISC Koura SLO^® Academic Department organized an academic event comprising a series of competitive quizzes titled “Ask Me Anything.”

Held during the SLO Period over a period of several weeks, the competition engaged 14 teams of 4 students each, all of whom were chosen from Grades 9-12. A student would spin a large wheel indicating one of 5 categories: sports, general knowledge, science, music and art. Questions relating to that category were then answered by the participants until an eventual winning team emerged.
