On September 3^rd SLO prefects returned to school to make it nice and decorate it for returning and new students. Welcoming boards, bulletin boards and badges were prepared to make the first day smooth.

The first day of school, ambassadors welcomed teachers and students and assisted all new students to find their classes, whereas class prefects helped them  find their seat.

Green Apple Day of Service

ISC - Choueifat

The Social Responsibility Department prefects, along with the deputy heads of all the departments, participated in the Global Community Service: Green Apple Day On Saturday, September 27^th

 Green Apple Day of Service is a global movement that brings together thousands of students and leaders from around the globe to transform the schools into healthy and productive learning places.

This year’s project was a trip to IBS, a household solid waste treatment center located in Saida. The plant works on recycling and transforming waste into electricity.

The first event of the day was a great presentation by the team about the importance of waste treatment centers in Lebanon. The students was introduced to the different sections of the plant; each section carrying out a certain function and were educated on many ways of making the school a greener place (Recycling, saving water, saving energy, etc.). Intrigued by what they were learning, the prefects couldn’t stop asking questions!

The next event of the day was planting a tree as a symbol of ISC-Choueifat going green.

This was followed by the last event which included a discussion about making the school a greener place and concluded by the distribution of prizes and certificates from the sponsors.

Club Fair

The SLO^® held the annual “Club Fair” to help students sign up for the various clubs:The following Clubs were offered:

• Book Club
• SAT Club
• Fashion Design Club
• Health & Nutrition Club
• MUN/MAL Club
• Cooking and Baking Club
• Filming and Drama Club
• Music Club
• Debate and Public Speaking Club
• Art Club
• Rubik Cube Club
• Sports Club
• Creative Writing Club…

Meeting times were assigned for each club to start planning activities and sharing fun ideas. The event was a huge success. Many prefects joined the team! Hard work and entertainment is awaiting everyone.
