Food Aid for the Displaced

October 01, 2014The International School of Choueifat - Suleimaniah launched a Food Aid project in early September to help around 800 refugees and displaced people.
Posters, flyers, letters and morning announcements are a few of the many ways that the project was advertised to ensure its success. Every student donated a cardboard box with staple food supplies such as rice, sugar, salt, canned food, tomato paste, cereals, dried milk, and pots).
Two hundred boxes were donated, then packed and arranged by the SLO® prefects and delivered on October 2, 2014.
Prefects also organized activities and treats for the refugee children. They distributed balloons and candy, and organised games and dancing.
