Start of an Exciting New Academic Year

It is a new year at the International School of Choueifat in Lebanon and prefects are busy  lending a hand where needed. You can see them volunteering to help with book selling. Ambassadors taking in charge all the new students for an orientation day filled with important information as well as ice-breaking and team building activities to make them feel at home from the day one.

Senior prefects prepared presentations and activities for the SLO^® prefects to start the year trained and with a bang.

This year promises to be an exceptional good year at Choueifat.

First Day of School

ISC - Muscat

On the first day of school, students are usually filled with mixed emotions. Some with enthusiasm, some with excitment to see friends and some who are new to the school with anxiety. At ISC-Muscat, prefects took things in charge to ensure that everyone felt welcome and motivated to be in school.

Early in the morning, prefects divided themselves into different teams. One group waited at the main gate carrying signs to welcome the new students and guide them. Another one set camp in the playground, and another escorted the new students to their assembly areas.

During break time, ambassadors made sure the new students were not left alone. They showed them around the school premises and introduced them to other kids in their classes.

It is going to be a great year!

Preparations and First Days of School - Girls Section

In order to start the year with a bang, prefects from both the Management and Outreach departments gathered at the school to plan the year and prepare for the first day of school.

Bulletin boards were set up, welcome cards and motivational quotes were created specially for the new students and the whole school was decorated to welcome the students.

Prefects were everywhere during the selling week. They manned the information desk, helped the accountants, distributed books and uniforms and entertained smaller children.

On the first day of school, prefects were at the gate welcoming everyone and distributed candy and hugs all around. A special photo booth was set up to capture smiles.

Ambassadors took care of all new students with a school tour and fun activities. New students participated in a treasure hunt that ended with a brunch and a presentation about SLO^®.  

The start of this year was the best start so far.  Let's work hard to ensure that this year will be the best year as well.
