100^th Day of school

Wednesday 31^st of January marked our 100^th day in school. To celebrate this, the SLO prepared a marvelous event. Posters were hung, handouts were distributed, and students were couldn't wait for it to begin. The activities included the enjoyable jumping sacks game ,beatboxing abilities as well as discovering dancing talents. Finally, students wrote inspirational quotes on a wide board creating a motivational atmosphere throughout the school. Kudos to all students for making it through the first 100 days!

Carpentry Club

SABIS^® International School – Yas Island

The Student Life Organization^® recently started a Carpentry Club for Grades 7 and 8. Students partake in this club twice per week during the SLO periods. They started by learning all the safety measures that must be adhered to while doing carpentry. Their first project was to build a picnic table. The students worked very hard for 8 weeks designing and constructing the table using their newly learned skills. The quality of their work was of a very high standard and we are all proud of their achievement. As a result, this beautiful picnic table is now being enjoyed by all of our students during break times. Carpentry Club is a very interesting activity that increases the students’ handcrafts skills. We are all looking forward to their next project.
