WE SCARE HUNGER

The International School of Minnesota - Minneapolis, USA

October 31, 2017

Once again this year, the SABIS Student Life Organization® Social Responsibility Department has organized the annual food drive. We are continuing to work in collaboration with WE in supporting two Twin Cities organizations: ICA and PROP food shelves. Students were asked to fill a grocery bag with nonperishable goods and return it to one of our three drop off zones. Our goal was 1500 pounds of food and together we were able to collect over 1680 pounds!

Let’s Be Kind

SABIS® International School - Adma, Lebanon

November 15, 2017

“Let’s Be Kind” is a campaign done for grades 4 and 5 students by the Outreach and Discipline departments. The two departments collaborated in order to raise awareness about the importance of random acts of kindness and bullying prevention.
To kick off the campaign, the Deputy Heads Prefects of both Departments met with all G4 and G5 students to  emphasize the importance of being kind to one another and create a positive atmosphere at school. Students were encouraged to take part in a friendly challenge, in which they were supposed to prepare a dance, poster or song along the Kindness theme. All students worked in groups to foster teamwork. The outcome was fantastic in multiple ways. Not only did this campaign unleash the students’ creativity, but helped teach students about kindness for a happier school.

All students had a week to prepare their projects and had the option of being divided into groups of five. The outcome was fantastic in multiple ways. Not only did this campaign give a go for the gold atmosphere between the students, but it also created a happier school.

“Let’s Be Kind” Campaign exceeded my expectations and it was great witnessing the students’ creativity! Not only did it help them learn teamwork, but also gave them tips on ways to be kind to those around them and create a better community to live in. Nathalie Abou Gharib

Paint Jam

Abdulaziz International School - Sulaimaniah, KSA

December 14, 2017

Paint Jam Day is one of those satisfying events everyone can relate to. It includes numerous canvases that are arbitrarily painted, using different hues, either by hand or with a brush, to reveal a surprising masterpiece at the end; this is what exactly occurred in our jam-packed playground on the 14th of December. Enthusiastic souls were especially eager to leave their handprints on the "Splash Canvas". Consequently, emerald green, amethyst purple, fire red, jet black and sapphire blue all collided to reveal a masterpiece.

“It was a colorful experience, and taught the students teamwork.” Khalil Hajij 11BB

“It was motivating and cheerful.” Yousef Al Tayara 11BB
