Weekly Shadow Teacher’s Workshop

In order to train Shadow Teachers, weekly workshops were scheduled to ensure they are all up to speed.

During the workshops, some Shadow teachers teach while others just observe. The Shadow teachers, who teach, are trained by their subject leader and teachers. They teach English, Math, Science and Arabic. The workshop is observed by the leaders and admin staff. At the end of the workshop, the shadow teachers get feedback from their leaders and admin Staff to help them improve.

SLO^{^®} Prefects Training Session

The key to having a highly effective Student Life Organization is to train prefects to do their jobs. Training can be done either through other prefects who have experienced that position or by teachers.

At Zakho International School, we take prefect training very seriously. During the training session, the SLC started with an introduction of the SLO^® departments followed by the Training sub-Department prefects who introduced each sub department and their specific role. The Head of Supervisors then taught the trainees how to manage the school in a smooth way.
