Affirmation Day- Bullying prevention Campaign

The International School of Choueifat - Sharjah, UAE

September 24, 2025

The Student Life Organization (SLO) organized Affirmation Day as part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening student wellbeing and promoting a supportive school environment. The initiative was designed to encourage positive communication, self-confidence, and peer recognition across participating grade levels, with a special emphasis on helping students build the inner resilience and self-assurance that act as a protective shield against bullying.

Throughout the day, students participated in a series of structured activities focused on sharing affirmations, expressing appreciation, and promoting respectful peer interactions. As part of these activities, affirmation stickers were distributed to all students and staff members. Our prefects also wrote positive messages on small slips of paper, placed them in a box, and randomly handed them out to students. Additionally, students exchanged affirmation stickers while offering kind verbal messages such as “You are loved,” “You are strong,” and “You are smart.” These activities helped foster a warm, encouraging, and inclusive atmosphere across the school.

Students also proudly posed for photos using affirmation props, confidently showcasing the qualities they value most about themselves. These photo moments allowed them to celebrate their individuality, boost their self-esteem, and share uplifting messages with the school community.

Affirmation Day also supported the school’s wider wellbeing framework by highlighting the role of positive language in shaping student mindset and school climate. The event demonstrated effective student leadership and meaningful engagement in character-building initiatives.

Affirmation Day created a noticeably positive shift in the school environment and encouraged students to support one another more openly.

The initiative reinforced the importance of intentional positive communication within the school community.

It was encouraging to see students actively participating in activities that promote confidence and wellbeing.

Bullying Prevention Campaign

CADMUS® International School - Alburouj, Cairo, Egypt

January 11, 2024

A bullying prevention campaign was held to teach students about the dangers of bullying, the types of bullying, the definition of a bystander, and the important role that a bystander can play in eradicating bullying.

G3 & G4, combined art with bullying prevention through the idea of the buddy bench. The buddy bench is specifically designed so that prefects befriend whoever is sitting there ensuring they are doing well and encouraging them to join in activities

G5 6 & 7 had an escape room with puzzles and riddles about bullying prevention and types of bullying. To escape the SLO room, they had to figure out the puzzle. Students were in teams and worked together to solve it.

Students had a great time, and before they left the room, they wrote some nice and kind messages on the SLO wall of kindness.
