I Have to Learn
ISC - Damascus
December 24, 2014In order to help students continue their educational path, the Social Responsibility Department kicked off the “I have to learn” campaign. The campaign aimed to provide needy students from other schools with stationary and school supplies.
Leaflets and posters describing the campaign were designed and printed out and distributed to grades 1, 2 and 3. Prefects then went into the classes and explained the campaign and how to help each other and asked for students to contribute whatever they could.
All contributions were gathered, sorted out and boxed. Everything was then delivered to the volunteers who visited the school. Seeing the smile on everyone’s faces was priceless.

Holidays Fundraiser
International Academy of Saginaw
December 12, 2014In an attempt to raise awareness for Social Responsibility efforts around the world, the International Academy of Saginaw SLO® Social Responsibility Department partnered with a relief organization for the Holidays Fundraiser. Students could pay $2 to have a Dress Down Day each of the 3 Thursday's throughout December.
Throughout each week of December the Management Team would make an announcement reminding everyone to participate toward this worthy cause. The International Academy of Saginaw was able to raise over $500 which will provide two families of 4 with a weekly food parcel for an ENTIRE year and one additional family a parcel of food each week for 6 months. A generous donor matched the school's donation which brought the total amount to over $1,000!
Recycing Campaign
Abdul Aziz International School
December 21, 2014The Social Responsibilities department launched a recycling campaign that helped the students understand the concept and benefits of recycling. Prefects created recycling bins made from used material and placed one in every class room. Students are encouraged to throw only paper in these bins. Paper is collected by a recycling company and the money raised is sent to charity.
Recycling posters were posted all over the school and many recycling games were held.
A big ‘thank you’ poster was also displayed to thank students that helped keep the school clean and tidy.
