Food Aid for the Displaced

ISC - Suleimaniah

The International School of Choueifat - Suleimaniah launched a Food Aid project in early September to help around 800 refugees and displaced people.

Posters, flyers, letters and morning announcements are a few of the many ways that the project was advertised to ensure its success. Every student donated a cardboard box with staple food supplies such as rice, sugar, salt, canned food, tomato paste, cereals, dried milk, and pots).

Two hundred boxes were donated, then packed and arranged by the SLO^® prefects and delivered on October 2, 2014.

Prefects also organized activities and treats for the refugee children. They distributed balloons and candy, and organised games and dancing.

International Green Apple Day

ISC - Koura

To encourage environmental awareness ISC - Koura celebrated Green Apple Day, an international event held annually in order to celebrate the gifts given by nature. Students of Grade 10 planted 10 pine trees on campus with the help of Ms. Letisia Namnoum (Ms. Lebanon Asia Pacific world 2015). There is too little, yet never too much, greenery in the world; that’s why it is our duty to give back to the world, to the greatest degree, what it gave us.

Orphans' Day

ISC - Amman

ISC - Amman's SLO^® invited over 150 Orphans to the school. The prefects had already planned and organized a whole day that was committed to giving these children a fun day filled with a variety of games and activities.

The activities ranged from playing soccer and dodge-ball, to jumping castles and tug of war. The day ended with a spectacular magic performance which left our guests stunned and amazed.

The day was quite a memorable day for both the orphans and the SLO^® Prefects who gave their best to give our guest a day they will always remember.

Gift of Love

ISC - Koura

On the occasion of the Eid El Adha holiday, gifts were collected in the school and their later distributed to the underprivileged children in Tripoli.
