A Meeting Between Schools
SABIS Ulink, Shanghai
March 16, 2021In order to introduce the students of the SABIS ULink school in Shanghai (that started its operations on March 15th), to the Student Life Organization, a video conference was scheduled between the students and prefects from our other schools.
Apurva Balaji, the Head Prefect of the International School of Minnesota introduced the students to the Student Life Organization. She went over her own history with SLO detailing her path all the way to becoming the Head Prefect. She explained how the SLO helped her overcome many hurdles and her shyness and helped her blossom.
Machaela Cruz, a Deputy Head Prefect from the SABIS International Charter School, took over and explained the positive difference SLO is doing at her school and how students join and are given responsibility in 9 different departments.
Abel Perales, the SABIS International School in Phoenix's Student Life Coordinator, added his experience to the mix. He reminded the audience about the benefits of Student Life and how the SLO involvement can not only help them grown and improve but how it will help them with their university acceptance at a later stage.
Bringing the schools together was a big success and the Shanghai students shared with their SLC how motivated that meeting was and many promptly enrolled in the SLO.
